Project Polka Dot

See a Polka Dot? Make a Polka Dot!

Beginning this week and carrying through the rest of the semester, inspirational polka dots are going to be appearing on walls, ceilings, floors, windows, bathroom stalls, office doors - basically anywhere and everywhere on campus.

What's on the Polka Dots? Happy messages, quotes, thought provoking questions - things to keep you and your day going! School is stressful. Why not add some small dots of inspiration?

If you see a dot, we encourage you to make your own! What would you like to share? Think of something you'd like to say, write it on a polka dot, and stick it anywhere you'd like. There will be blank polka dots around the school too, so if you see an empty one, feel free to fill it in. If you don't see any empty ones, make your own! They can be in any shape, any color, and they can say anything. If you make a polka dot, let us know; but most importantly, get your friends involved! The more polka dots, the better!

The goal is to have the school infected with as many polka dots as possible before Christmas Break! More Polka Dots = More happiness.

Want to play?

* If you have questions, feel free to contact us at forwardacts@gmail.com.

UPDATE - Here are some dots from the project - some of the few that survived Janitorial censoring:

This dot received a response from a reader.  Sarah gave some food for thought - a philosophical pondering on the characters Goofy and Pluto (why does Goofy walk on two legs, and Pluto on all four?  They're both dogs!)  Looks like someone else had been giving this some thought, too...

  2. Next time the Beat (Music Club) has a meeting I will cut out some polka dots and pass them around to people to fill out and we'll add to the collection!
